Vegan MoFo #4: Red Pier Vietnamese - Midtown, Houston, TX

My kickball team recently had a party in Midtown. Several people from my team were getting hungry, so we walked over to Red Pier. I split an order of veggie spring rolls with the guy I'm seeing, he ordered the General Tso's tofu, and I ordered the coconut curry tofu. Usually the spring rolls come with a peanut sauce, but the guy has a peanut allergy. We got some other sauce as an alternative, but I just used sriracha on my share of the rolls. I devoured my coconut curry tofu and some rice. I liked both of the tofu entrees, but I was surprised by how quiet the restaurant was on a Saturday night. They're open late, so maybe they get a wave of post-bar folks later in the night.

  1. Those dishes look awesome and they are exactly the kinds of dishes we order out at Asian restaurants. I loooove spring rolls so hard!

  2. I stick to tofu curries and stir-fries at Asian restaurants. Keepin' it simple! ;)
