Pasta Alla Carb-onara
This recipe always looks so simple and tasty in Hearty Vegan Meals for Monster Appetites. I decided to finally give it a try. I did not use the hemp almond parmesan called for in the recipe (it's another recipe in the book). I took a shortcut by using the last of my container of Parma. I skipped the lemon zest, since I used the little plastic lemon as my source for lemon juice. You add the lemon zest and/or juice to taste, so I used the lemon juice hanging out in the fridge. This recipe doesn't contain a protein source, so I cooked some Gardein scallopini cutlets to serve with this pasta dish.
